Eight teams set for Football Kenya Federation Nairobi provincial mini league

Eight teams will take part in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) provincial mini-league to be held between October 21 and 23 at City Stadium.

The eight qualified after the end of the Nairobi County branch league and will be fighting to make it to next year's national Division One league.

From Zone 'A' the teams that have made it to the mini-league are Inter-City, Asec Huruma, Vapour Sports and Liberty Sports. Zone 'B' teams are Mbotela Kamaliza, Kibera Black Stars, Supa Loaf and Forest Service.

In the opening match Asec Huruma will take on Liberty Sports at City Stadium from 8am. Two hours later, Inter-City and Vapour Sports tackle each other at the same venue before paving the way for Kibera Black Stars and Kenya Forest Service. After that Mbotela Kamaliza will face Supa Loaf.

On October 22, Vapour Sports return to the pitch against Asec Huruma at Hope Centre before Super Loaf tackle Forest Service at the same venue. Liberty Sports will then play Inter-City at City Stadium as Kibera Black Stars meet Mbotela Kamaliza.

The last day of competition will see Asec Huruma take on Inter-City at Hope Centre which will also host the match between Supa Loaf and Kibera Black Stars.

There will be two other matches at City Stadium on October 23 where Vapour Sports takes on Liberty Sports and Forest Service tackles Mbotela Kamaliza.

The winner of Zone 'A' will then player their Zone 'B' counterparts in the final to determine the provincial league winners and the team that qualifies for the FKF Division One league next year.

Elsewhere, 16 teams including Gor Mahia Youth have qualified for the county-mini league which will also kick off on October 21.

Gor Mahia Youth won Zone-A and qualify alongside Country Bus, Maili Saba and Buru Sports. From Zone 'B' those who have qualified are Zion Family, Reformed United, Kenafric and Kakakuona. Zone 'C' has Dandora Hot Spurs, Naivas, Mutuini Rangers and Waithaka Youth. From Zone 'D' Bomas of Kenya, Mwiki United, Kenafric and Kakuona will take part.
