TNA Homa Bay leaders want President Uhuru Kenyatta to visit, claim he frequents Kisii, Kisumu, Migori

HOMA BAY COUNTY: Supporters of The National Alliance (TNA) party from Homa Bay County want the President to visit their county to strengthen the party in the area.

Led by Karachuonyo Constituency TNA Chairman Charles Amenya, the supporters urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to make good his promise to go back by visiting the region by visiting their county.

During the burial arrangement of his mother Eunice Adhiambo at Gendia village in Karachuonyo Constituency, Amenya said President Kenyatta's visit would lead to strengthening of TNA support in the county.

The chairman expressed concern over Kenyatta's silence in plans to visit Homa Bay County.

He said it would be more prudent if the President could visit Homa Bay County in his next trip to Nyanza to enable him understand challenges which both TNA supporters and other residents of the county were undergoing.

He said President Kenyatta is a leader who enjoys support from all counties in Nyanza therefore he should not concentrate his visits in certain counties alone.

"The President has visited Kisii more than once and Kisumu and Migori counties but he has not come to Homa Bay. We need him here to demonstrate solidarity with the people of Homa Bay so that he can understand the challenges which we are having," Amenya said.

He said the President's silence over Homa Bay visit might make TNA supporters in the county feel they are discriminated against yet they also contributed to President Kenyatta's victory in the last General election.

The supporters argued that the President's visit in the county would boost their ability to recruit more members of TNA in the ongoing exercise meant to strengthen the party in the county.
