Suspect in State House car theft in new charges

NAIROBI, KENYA: One of the suspects accused of stealing President Uhuru Kenyatta's escort car has once again been charged, this time alongside a house help, Phylis Wangila, in connection with break-in in Kayole, Nairobi.

Nelson Mulati and Ms Wangila yesterday appeared before the Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Joseph Karanja on accusations that they broke and entered the house of Catheline Wambilianga.

They are alleged to have stolen a welding machine, two TV sets, one microwave, two gas cylinders, two pressure cookers, a home theatre and other household items.
