I'm not aware of ouster plan, ODM Executive Director Magerer Lang'at says

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Executive Director Magerer Lang'at has said he is not aware of any scheme to kick him out of office.

The party director said he has not been notified of any such plan.

He said he is a firm ODM member and supporter, having sacrificed to stand by the party despite the strength of the United Republican Party (URP) in his region since the last General Election.

"I have not been notified of anything although there have been small issues which have come up since the bungled ODM elections," he said.

But Lang'at, who spoke during an interview on KTN television, said: "I get offended when others are branded 'moles'. I am an ardent member (of ODM)."

He said ODM is united despite what transpired since February when the party's elections were cut short by heavily built men in black suits.

Lang'at said that since he joined the ODM secretariat, he has tried to re-brand the party in readiness for the next General Election.

"Some people among us who are unhappy with us have maintained a hardline stand," he said.

Lang'at said they had been trying to accommodate all issues for the purpose of unity, noting that the Rift Valley region walked out of ODM due to the stubbornness of some members and that this should not happen again, especially with Western Kenya.
