23-year-old man commits suicide

Nakuru, Kenya: A 23-year-old man has hanged himself in his house in Mirangine, Nakuru County.

Mirangine police boss Thomas Sangut said the deceased's wife reported the incident to police officers after she found her husband hanging lifeless in their home.

Sangut said Joseph Njoroge did not leave any suicide, adding that he was in good relations with his wife and children. He said his wife left him at home in the morning to attend to casual jobs.

Meanwhile, Bahati police boss Dancan Nguthu said security has been beefed up after leaflets circulating hate messages in the area linking illicit brew to a certain tribe were seized in different locations in the Sub County.

He urged wananchi to shun unlicensed liquor.
