AP charged with defilement of two girls aged 5 and 8

KITUI, KENYA: An administration police officer in Kitui County has been charged with defiling and indecently assaulting two girls aged 5 and 8 years.

Constable Jacob Odhiambo Osano, 36, appeared before Kitui Senior Resident Magistrate Albert Lesootia on Monday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecution alleged that Osano committed the offences at the Matinyani AP lines in July 13, 2014.

The minors are daughters of two female administration police officers based at the same station.

The magistrate granted the accused a Sh70,000 bond with surety of same amount until October 10 when the case will be heard.

The prosecution has lined up several witnesses including the minors, their mothers and the Kitui Central OCS Alexander Korir to authenticate the crime.
