President Uhuru Kenyatta urges youth in Central Kenya to shun alcohol

Nyeri, Kenya: President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged the youth to avoid excessive drinking and other activities that puts them in conflict with the law.

Addressing roadside meetings in Nyeri County, the President advised the youth to engage in activities that will improve the livelihoods.

He said his government was committed to develop programmes that will improve on the economy to create employment for the youth.

President Uhuru particularly urged students to shun drinking and other social vices that may distract their focus on studies and prepare for future challenges.

He said it was only through hard work that students will excel in their examinations in order to take rightful positions in society in future.
