Kenyan celebrity rapper CMB Prezzo narrowly missed $300,000 (Ksh24 million) prize after making it to the final two in Africa’s biggest reality TV show Big Brother Africa.
Prezzo whose real names are Jackson Ngechu Makini was the runner up after losing to Keagan from South Africa.
He was however rewarded with a One Campaign ambassador slot and told that he would be attending Jay Z’s concert in the United States soon.
Prezzo is the first Kenyan make it to the finals.
Tension was high in Big Brother House and Prezzo and Keagan waited for the winner to be announced.
“I have never been Head of House, I thank everyone who voted for me”, said Prezzo before the winner was announced.
Prezzo was among six finalists who included another East African, Kyle from Uganda.
The other finalists were Lady May from Namibia, Zambia’s Talia and Wati from Malawi
Prezzo and Lady May were the only surviving celebrities in the house.
The rapper survived numerous eviction nominations to make it to finals.
The other two Kenyans who were in the show, Alex and Malonza, were evicted.
