A policeman has been arrested after he shot dead his colleague in mysterious circumstances while on duty in Nairobi’s Umoja Estate.
The deceased officer was in official uniform when he was shot at close range after what others said was a brief argument.
The officers had been on duty conducting a swoop on bars when the incident occurred on Thursday around 9pm. The body was removed from the scene two hours later.
Nairobi PPO Anthony Kibuchi said they are interrogating the officer to know the motive.
